The Science Policy Exchange is a collaborative of six world-class research institutions and four associated National Science Foundation Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites all dedicated to increasing the influence of science on environmental policy, conservation, and natural resource management.
In January of 2020, the LTER Executive Board voted to change the status of the LTER Diversity Committee to make it a representative committee, with a named individual designated to participate from each site. Other members are welcomed to participate on an ad hoc basis. The first meeting of the renewed committee is being scheduled for March 2020.
The four LTER sites associated with the Science Policy Exchange consortium and the representatives to the LTER Diversity Committee for each are Harvard Forest LTER (Jonathan Thompson), Hubbard Brook LTER (Clara Chiasson), Baltimore Ecosystem Study (Alan Berkowitz), and Plum Island Ecosystems LTER (Jennifer Bowen).
